Solar Biology Diagram no.2 by Hiram Erastus Butler (1841–1916)
Hiram E. Butler was a metaphysical scholar and author who led 12 followers from Boston to northern California in 1891 and established a religious cult called The Esoteric Fraternity.
"Butler's most famous work was Solar Biology. First published in 1887, Solar Biology simplified astrology by basing horoscopes on sun and moon signs, rather than on complex planetary movements. Today's newspaper horoscopes are modeled largely on Butler's formulas." source
